Wise Plastics Technologies went live with a real-time process monitoring system on each of our 44 molding machines. During 2009 development, testing, and installation of the proprietary system took place.  The system is linked to the machines monitoring system, which allows us to capture 50 machine and process parameters and store the data for as long as it's needed.  The data is then analyzed, upper and lower control limits are set, as well as alerts are established that are communicated to the technicians to a potential issue before one develops.  This system is an extension of the plant wide voice annunciation system that alerts the technicians of machine alarms as well as potential out of control conditions.  Our real time process monitoring system is another example of our culture of innovation and creativity.
